Four companies currently own over 60% of the worldโ€™s seed supply.

Itโ€™s time to invest in Seed Security before itโ€™s too late.

Help secure our foodโ€™s future.

Grow With Us: Make a Gift to our Annual Fund

Traditional seed varieties are disappearing at an alarming rate (up to 90%) and locally adapted seeds are crucial to prevent food system collapse in the face of climate disasters.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re working to preserve endangered seed varieties and adapting them to thrive in the PNW at our urban farm in Portland, Oregon. We are the only nonprofit in the Portland area that focuses on seed saving and seed sovereignty.

By growing and distributing locally adapted seeds, we strengthen our communityโ€™s resiliency and help secure our foodโ€™s future.

Together we can work to reclaim seeds into the hands of the people.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit growing locally-adapted vegetable, flower, and medicine seeds at our urban farm in Portland, Oregon. We are committed to local food security, educating the next generation of seed savers, and healing our environment from the ground up. We are building the future we want to see, centering social justice and climate action as a form of revolution. Thatโ€™s why we donate half of the seeds we grow to low income and BIPOC communities, school gardens, and others in need.

Our Work

Urban Seed Farm

Since our founding in 2021, we have grown over 7 million locally-adapted seeds in the city, preserving heirloom varieties that are threatened to be lost. All of our seeds are grown using regenerative and organic techniques.

Seed Donation Program

To date, we have donated over 10,000 seed packets to low-income and BIPOC centered organizations (enough to grow 300,000lbs+ of food and medicine).

Education + Apprenticeship

We work with schools and teach classes on Seed Saving and Regenerative land-tending to people of all ages. Our Apprentice program supports hands-on skills development.

Deep Mulch Dry Farming

We educate about this revolutionary growing technique that uses woodchips to grow 1,000lbs of food every year without water or fertilizer. Yes, it's as mind-blowing as it sounds ๐Ÿคฏ

Edible Landscaping

We convert lawns and empty lots into productive edible landscapes to grow healthier communities and ecosystems. Our design style integrates permaculture principles with natural beauty, giving the best of both worlds.

Events + Workshops

Thousands of people have visited the farm to learn about growing food and medicine, seed saving, and climate resilient growing techniques at our workshops, tours, and events.

Join us on our mission to regenerate urban landscapes and create abundance in our communities, one seed at a time.
