This holiday season marks our third year, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the response to our programs and services. Portland homeowners, BIPOC communities, youth, city officials, and schools are all reaching out to us. Beyond growing & managing seeds, our farm has turned into a Learning Center and Community Hub.

We’ve managed to pull this off with just one part-time staff and a bunch of volunteers and apprentices…but we can’t keep it up at this rate. We need your help to grow our capacity to meet the needs of our community and fulfill our mission.

We need to double our Budget next year to support our 2025 Goals:

  • Hire a part-time BIPOC Garden Assistant to run the Garden and Seed House and support our Apprenticeship Program

  • Invest in Seed Management & Infrastructure, like better seed packaging for customers, germination testing, and a mobile seed drying/processing trailer

  • Grow partnerships and develop programs with more BIPOC communities & BIPOC led groups to expand our impact

  • Expand our youth education & mentoring with local schools like McDaniel & Franklin High School, working to transform their campuses with regenerative agriculture & grow the green workforce in Portland.

  • Develop our internal capacity in communications and operations with additional staff to support our growing needs
